Hi, I have just noticed Nellie standing very strange and is not acting her normal self. She is tilting forward with her neck in with her tail sticking in the air. Its as if she is bending over if you get the picture!! She is very subdued but has layed today. Her vent is clean but below it is a yellowy mucusy blob of something. I have bought her into the house and put her in the travel cage with some food. Any ideas? She is clenching and unclenching her vent as if she may be trying to pass something????

It sounds like she could have a softie on the way if she has not laid today.

Woke up this morning and Nellie had laid 2 softies in the night ( even though she laid yesterday too) and seems perkier now. So hopefully that will be it. What causes them to have the softies, does anyone know? Nellie laid quite a few softies when she first arrived but then sorted herself out. Not sure why she is doing them now.

Do a forum search re sofies, there are numerous posts about them. Also pop across to Eggs and have a look there. Glad she is better
