New hens not going into Eglu Go Up

After 3 weeks and 2 days we have our first Not sure which one did it but pretty sure it was Daisy, we are very proud. Will i feel the need to text everyone I know every time we get an egg or will that pass eventually????

I remember my first egg. I opened up the egg port, startled Miss Grey who got up and out it plopped in front of me and walked off. I grabbed it ran round the garden like a launatic and showed it to Mrs Nick. I then went to work and never saw it again as Mrs Nick, in her excitement, dropped it on the kitchen floor

I think we are just going to keep staring at it for a couple of days first and show it to everyone we know just in case no one believes us.

It became quiet obsessive of me, everytime i go in the garden first thing i do is look in the nest box and check, was driving my wife mad but yesterday when we came home from shopping i went to let the girls out and as usual checked there it was, i couldnt believe it, my 5 year old ran straight over and scooped it up and nearly dropped it, was a heart stopping moment i can tell you my cynical wife thought i'd sneaked one out of the shopping (yes we had to buy some as i thought they were never coming!) and popped it in the box.

Shame on you Mrs Nick
