Tikka has started a really bad moult, a bit like last year when she lost all but a couple of feathers! At the moment the WIR looks as if there has been an almighty fight, feathers everywhere She seems ok, and obviously has stopped laying. I just wish she had done this about a month earlier. It took six weeks for them to grow back last year, it could be getting quite chilly by then.

there is a product called feather back that is highly rated by some, also the company that sells it has a great helpline, ask to speak to Malcolm.

More protein and Calcium is needed during a moult, I have just been reading elsewhere of some REALLY poorly during an excessive moult, so keep a good eye on her.I give mine Poultry essential vitamins.
