Hi

 

We have two hens.

 

Anyway, one of them is very unwell and clearly on her last legs (she's presently in a box in the garage) so it looks like we'll need to replace her very soon.

 

Trouble is, the one who will be left is very feisty and dominant. She was our original hen from when we first started. We began with her and another one which died within days of being here. We then got two new ones to join her and she terrorised them at first, but eventually 'allowed' them in. One of them died after a few months so we just kept the two which were left and have had them both for almost two years now.

 

We would like to get two more to replace the dying one, but I just wondered if anyone has any tips for settling them in. To be fair, she might not be as bad now as she was two years ago, but she is a real force to be reckoned with and I wouldn't want to share a house with her!
