Chucky Mama
I have just taken off a huge builder's sack load off moss from a lawn (thankfully not mine- my girls see to it that there is no moss on our lawn), is it any good to compost? It is lovely and soft, the girls would probably love it to lay their eggs on
Old Speckled Hen
No, don't compost moss. Its spores will withstand compost temperatures and you will just spread it to any darker moister parts of the garden when you use it. Throw into the green bin......if your council composts green waste the temperatures its heaps reach are sufficient for good kill.
