daxigirl
13 of my babies are off to auction on Saturday, the decision has been made about who's going. The little Scots Dumpy (Hagis) has turned out to be a chap after his attempts at a cockle-doodle this morning gave him away. The Daisy and Leghorn boys have had a s"Ooops, word censored!" and have had to be split up. I think that the only Croad to hatch is a boy so he's going with his Orp pals. Freckle (the Daisy I would like to keep) has to go in order to keep Hagis company as they don't sell lone boys. I could still be swayed on keeping Titch the tiny Orp though (a third of the size of it's sibblings even though they came from the same batch of same sized eggs). That's going to leave me with 1 Exhequer Leghorn, 3 Orloffs, 2 Crevecoeurs & 2 La Fleches (till I can work out who's girlies from the last 3 types). I didn't think it would be such a hard choice, as I thought I'd got breeds I wouldn't want to keep but they're all so sweet, well apart from the 2 bruisers. Old Speckled Hen
daxigirl, the chap I got my vorwerks hen from had Orloffs. They looked superb. He told me he had the eggs smuggled over from Russia....That was probably rubbish. Anyway, what do you know about them? Are they friendly? Thanks
