Just wondering if I can treat my cockerels ears from home without another trip to the vet? All advice welcome

I wouldn't have thought so. If it is an infection, he will need antibiotics, which can only be obtained on prescription.

 

What symptoms does he have to make you think he has an ear infection?

Sorry it's late had a hectic day.

He just has crusty yellow stuff on ears and is yawning stretching his mouth a fair bit but otherwise seems very well. To be honest I think the vet is sick of me as have been 3 times in 3 weeks and like a lot of vets he's not keen on chickens.

You can bathe discharge away with dilute salt water (1 teaspoon to a pint). If it is infected you really need some antibiotics from the vet. I wouldn't worry about bothering the vet, you are paying them!
