Today they've all exhibited a behaviour I've not yet seen - that of pecking away at the wooden fence slats. They've been doing it off and on for a few hours. I can't believe every peck results in a bugs demise. I'm wondering if the heavy rains of yesterday have something to do with it. Any ideas? Chickybaby Posted June 1, 2011 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Mine peck at the rain drops, mainly on the back door and water butt, after it's rained. They also sometimes just seem to peck at random things, I think one starts it and the others think they're missing out on something so join in, not really knowing what they are doing!
