acprc
Hi all, After some advice on one of our chcikens if possible. We have four chickens living together in an Omlet cube with a 3m run. They free range in the garden three days a week. The breeds are one amber, one cambridge blue, one speckledy and one black sussex. They are fed on Omlet chicken feed with mixed corn, mealworms and fresh veg (lettuce cabbage etc) used as a supplement. Mixed oyster grit is added to their feed and obviously lots of fresh water. The Amber (Nuggett) has been laying soft eggs now for about 2 weeks solid. She goes through the motions in the Cube but just doesn't seem to lay solid eggs. The feathers round her bum seem to have been pecked a bit but we think this was because of the soft egg residue and the other 3 chickens pecking her a bit. We have fed all the chickens a tonic for the recommended 5 days with no change. In herself Nuggett doesn't seem to be any different, she eats and drinks ok, comb is nice and red, no physical changes. All three are due to be wormed again next week. Can anybody offer any suggestions or advice or should we just wait and see what happens? Thanks in advance.
