Pantastic cake pans

Does anyone use these?

 

I'm thinking it's my best option for making a '80' birthday cake....... have you had success?

 

Which type of recipe do you use, just a normal 2 egg sponge for each number, or is a madiera better? Then there's no jam and cream to worry about! It has to be portable, so the more simple the better...
