Lump on comb

I have a Light Sussex with a lump on its comb. The lump started off whitish about a week ago and about the size of a small pea but noticed today it is bleeding - she may have been scratching it. She is completely well otherwise although did lay a very strange shaped egg today.

 

Any ideas?
