sandyhas3chucks
A Friends young hybrid Bluebell, an absolute poppet, has had a blocked crop, it has been totally flushed and emptied and we were hopeful.(vet emptied!) However soon as she had dry food after 48 hours of wet only she tried to pig out and was neck dancing again last night, (Friend works so she has been with me as nowhere to separate from her 2 friends at home) Bless her has layed right through this. today I have kept her in a grass run and back to little only wet mash. and of course hard to pig out on bits of grass. The grass is passing through, but her crop still feels on the large size . I believe she may now have a pendulous crop and would like any advise from anyone with experience, as some say the prognosis is pretty poor, but I feel sure I have seen somewhere people have kept them on successfully??
