JanetG
Looks like hen has it, v red skin below her cloaca, dried white poo on her feathers but no real smell. What causes it & what’s the best treatment please? I’ve cleaned her up but not sure what to put on her skin, it looks sore. She’s over 2 years old & not laying at the moment. Seems well otherwise. Thanks
Beantree
Doesn't sound like vent gleet, just bad digestion? For sore skin we use vaseline. You will need to keep that area clean, because poor skin condition leads to fly strike. What are her poos like? When was she last wormed with Flubenvet? JanetG
Haven’t noticed anything different in any poos so presumably hers are ok. Flubenvet treatment given a couple of weeks ago. I’ll try Vaseline, thanks.
