Lynn in Bristol
A couple of weeks ago we had a promises auction at my girls' school. The only thing I could think of to pledge was a months worth, or 30, of my eggs, either delivered to the door or pick-your-own, hug-a-hen arrangement. I thought it would probably raise £10-15, and be a bit different. However, bidding was furious, and the promise eventually sold at £38! That's over £1.26 an egg! We bought two tickets to a rugby match, including a three course meal with wine, for £26. I've been giving them away all this time! And the auction was over a month ago and "Ooops, word censored!"ody's claimed their eggs yet...

Goosey Lucy
What a brilliant idea! We have an auction at our summer fair, I'll see if the organisers think it's worth having as a prize.
