Chickaboo
Phoebe has started to break all her eggs!! I've tried putting a hard/fake egg in the nest as someone suggested, to put her off - no such luck. I try and get the egg as soon as possible, but this isn't always easy, particuly when I'm at work - but even so eggs are never left more than 8-12 hours in the nest. Daphne has started to lay her eggs on the wooden bars, to keep them safe, bless her. And I'm starting to have to buy eggs As well as cleaning out the nest daily!!!! Any more advice that can be offered would be appreciated, as I'm getting a bit fed up.
twix
you could try filling an egg with mustard-a few pecks at that is supposed to put them off. if you carefully make a hole (0.5mm-1cm) in each end of the egg you can force the contents off the egg out through one hole by blowing into the other. (Make sure the membrane is broken too.) Once the egg is hollowed out squeeze mustard in through the hole. I have made dummy eggs in this way but never had to use the mustard but have heard it works.
