Rabbits and Berberis

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone, hope you are all ok.

I havent had chance to look at this Rabbits forum, so this topic may already have been covered, it if has, please tell me and I will read it later when I get back to the PC.

We have a dwarf lop eared rabbit, almost two years old now. He loved to "free range" in the garden with the chickens. He seems to eat pretty much anything and everything, and most of the shrubs and bushes are stripped of their leaves of the first foot or so.

We have a Berberis which LOOKS like it has berries on it (in fact I think it is a berberis will have to ask hubby later) though the "berries" actually look like small flowers... and bunny is devouring them!!

Is it ok for him to eat Berberis in this way? What about the berries?
