hi there, for the last few nights we keep finding one of our girls going to sleep under a bush instead of going in to the eglu. The other two are going in to roost as normal so I can't understand why peggy keeps going under this bush?! there's no sign of any nest under there and no stash of eggs or anything so I'm not sure what it is... any ideas??

Might be woth checking there's no red mite in the eglu in case that's putting her off going to bed. But then I wonder why it's just 1 that does this? Sure someone else with more knowlege will come along soon.

no, i cleaned them out yesterday and definitely no red mite - its my first summer with chickens and im paranoid about getting bugs and stuff in the warm weather!

Perhaps she's just hearing the call of the wild and reverting to wild chicken behaviour . No idea really, sorry .
