JohnP
I've got four chickens, and have at least 2 feather pullers. I now have all the birds with bumper bits, but they're not that good in my experience - they seem to work for about a week and then they start to bite through the bit! After 2-3 weeks, feathers definitely start to go missing again. Is this par for the course with these bits? I'd not gathered that I'd need to replace them quite that fast! Would it be worth trying anti-peck spray? I've seen some people swear by Ukadex, and others swear at it. Can I order this on the net somewhere? My poor girls have had bare bums and backs for ages now and I'd love them to refeather!

JohnP
I had a look and saw an anti-peck spray in their catalogue. Is this Ukadex? It doesn't seem to be listed anywhere by name. Ta!
Egluntyne
Yes it is. Give them a ring...they are very helpful.
JohnP
Many thanks. But yikes - £7.95 for the spray and another £6.75 for p&p!
Egluntyne
They hate the taste of Tee Tree oil. Try your local equestrian shop, they may stock Tee Tree Spray. I paid £3.95 for mine.
