Egluntyne Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 Grit is to grind their food in the gizzard. Oystershell is a source of calcium. Mixed Poultry Grit is a mixture of the two. Limestone flour is pure calcium carbonate and is much more easily absorbed. You can get it from ebay as sold for reptiles, or from equestrian shops.
