Henrietta our GN has just taken to laying very long eggs. She was broody a week or so back - but the arrival of our new girls soon stopped that! she started to lay again shortly after, but not everyday as usual and now we have had three very long eggs? Anyone else experienced this?

 

Also our MP Olivia has now stopped laying. Things seem to have settled down with the new girls apart from the egg situation could it all be linked

Daisy laid a very torpedo shaped egg today, after not laying since last wednesday I'll take a photo of it for you, I'm sure it's just a blip they go through after taking a rest for a while

[Abbey Road Girl]

A torpedo-shaped egg was the first egg produced by one of mine. It had a "waist" in the middle as though the hen began to produce the one and then had a second thought.

Alice occasionally lays a torpedo long egg - it usually means in her case that it is a double yolker

We did wonder about that - will find out at the weekend! Today's egg is back to egg-shaped
