Phosphorus
This might be a stupid question but... Milly had an antibiotic jab (I think Tylan) last Thursday and also antibiotic eye cream was used on her eye twice a day until a couple of days ago. She isn't laying yet but her comb is now getting a lot larger and redder My silly question is - I appreciate that there needs to be about a weeks withdrawal for the Tylan, what about the antibiotic cream - should that have an egg withdrawal period? I am presuming not and the vet didn't mention it, but then he knew by then she wasn't yet laying. Just thinking in case she starts to lay in the next few days - not much chance but just in case
Mrs Frugal
Best thing to do would be to call your vet about the eye drops. If they don't know, they can contact the manufacturer for the definitive answer.
Phosphorus
Probably best move, thanks. I will wait and see if she starts to lay yet. Comb has gone bright red but she isn't crouching much, will have to panic if I get a three egg day as not sure what egg colour she will lay yet (not sure if she is a coral or a Bovans Silver - she'll probably give me a brown egg the same as Roast's) Thanks for the reply.
