freddie
Yes, a weekend off!! Eat your hearts out!! I've come home with a beautiful "pebble" and a very nice vase/ pot for bits and things for the bathroom!! Weather was great, people were "interesting" and the food was excellent (we all took a bit and shared it round) Back to reality and the laundry basket now, with my grouty hands.... Guest
sounds great, I've always fancied trying my hand at mosaic work. I was inspired after going to guell park! Would love to see some pics. Are you going to carry it on now you're home?
freddie
Dont pay for a course, get a book from the libray, and a couple of friends; go to the recycle centre and get the main tiles, get the fancy ones from a shop or the net, and spend the course cost on a really nice lunch!!I shall book the church hall or similar for a few pounds, as it's impoosible at home,to get the time out; people always want feeding!! I'll try to post some piccies later!! Will definitely have another go at home, I mosaiced a beach pebble with bits of coloured glass, grouted in with the grey floor tile grout, and its twinkling away amongst the flowers out the front!! ubereglu
Sounds great fun. We saw some wonderful mosaic-ed shoes when we went to one of the art galleries in Bath for a Kaffe Fassett display.

Are you going to carry it on now you're home? Gaudi is fantastic - spent a gorgeous day at the Guell Park - and the cathedral is simply mind-blowing (even though it is far from finished!!) here's a lizard from the Guell Park (was a gorgeous hot day) and here's a top of a cathedral pinnacle (the detail cannot be seen unless you are on the roof - but the philosophy is that it is ALL a thing of beauty - even the bits not ordinarily visible to the human eye....) and - to take up a recent theme... my dream Gaudi house! get to work Freddie!!! Guest
these were my snaps Freddie, I bet you could do some lovely things for the garden! Plant pots, troughs, table tops etc. I wonder if I could mosaic the chicken run
