Phosphorus
So so excited Both my maran hybrids are currently sitting in the nesting box of the Cube. Thought Gemma had laid this morning as I had a pale brown speckeldy egg (56g though) in the box. Bit sad that it was a normal brown rather than a dark brown but speckled so what the heck. Now Gemma has been pacing and has now gone back in. Think she either hadn't laid that egg (more than likely) or has early dementia and has forgotten Charlotte has been in twice already and has now followed Gemma in. Might have a four or five egg day today, had two browns already and waiting on Alice Can't wait to see what colour Charlotte and Gemma produce - hope I'm not disappointed later
Chickvic
How exciting! It's lovely when you get a full house, although my girls like to take a few days off so end up with more 2 egg days Need to read properly! Not all of yours are laying! Snowy
Exciting isn't it! Would like to see what your marans produce as well! I think my pied might have laid this morning - there were two very tiny, creamy, soft shelled eggs in the poo tray this morning. And she was back loitering outside the nest box a few minutes ago Not crouching yet though But had the large red comb for a couple of weeks already! Come on Spicey girl Gemma & Charlotte!
