stragen behaviour by my light sussex. for no apparent reason she will suddenly start jogging up and down one side of the run. not looking agitated, rather as if she is desperate to get out to get something! the other one ignores her for a while and then will sort of flap and the light sussex will snap out of her running hypnosis and stand in the middle of the run again as if nothing has happened.

Is this when she knows you are watching???? My lot pace up and down as soon as they hear the key turn in my back door, or catch sight of me at the kitchen window when I come in from work.

now you come to mention it. yes! it is only when i have been standing at the kitchen window.

 

they arn't very tame at the mo. not sure they even know who i am so surprised they get excited when they see me watching; or perhaps she doesn't like being watched...!? hmmmm.,,,,

Oooh, it's the start of the big guilt trip they send you on when they know you are watching and they want to go outside -lol. I've got 8 who are masters of it

they have only been out once...and that was an accident! she must have got a taste for it. she launched herslef into the apple tree! and then got stuck.

 

i was going to keep them in the run for a week before their 1st official free range outing!

YUP, They're getting you in training-mine do the same. They and the dog recognise my car pull up too (2cv-so distinctive) and the second I unlock the back door to let mr woof out the girls are ready
