bokbokbok
After picking up a couple of things from a Freecycle lady I have decided I didn't like the nesting box she gave me and am going to pass it on. It is too big and heavy and I have just this evening gone out and bought a shed. OH and I will really enjoy making the shed in to both a coop and a store but I am drawing a blank for inspiration how to design this. I would really love to see photos of the INSIDE of your coops - most of the lovely shots on here are of the outside and the runs. Does anyone have photos of the insides to share? frenchlayer
Morning Anydanger. Mines not a shed, but a plastic garden toolbox but thought you might be interested. When I researched mine I found the general consensus was to have the roosting bars if you have them higher than the nesting box. And because I didn't want them roosting over the nesting box and pooping in that I created a sort of eating area over the nesting box. They seem to all three of them roost here, and it's very easy to swipe the poop off lino and into the compost bin every morning. If sheds had been cheaper here I would have had a shed too. Good luck
abwsco
We converted a shed There's a couple of pics of the inside you can see from my sig link but I'll try and get some better ones today if you'd like. Their perch is across the back wall and then I have a row of 4 nestboxes on the right hand side to the door. HTH
