Robbo1962 Posted July 3, 2008 Share Posted July 3, 2008 Help! I have 4 ladies, an orp, black rock, light sussex and an ex batt. I am introducing a 2 x 20 week old orp crosses and the black rock has taken a nasty dislike to them. Last night she would not let one of the babies into to the cube and she slept in a tree but thankfully was waiting for her friend this morning. I hope this is standard 'bossy' hen stuff, she is grabbing them and pulling feathers out etc, the others are not bothered. I am worried that the baby orp gets into the habit of sleeping in the tree which is a hard habit to break. How long does it take for bossy hen to stop and let them into the flock? I have an old ark which the babies could sleep in and then free range with the others. Help and advice greatly appreciated.
