You will need separate accommodation for them at first, particularly if you go for ex-batts.

 

There is a waiting list for ex-batts in many areas, so if that is what you decide to go for, best put your name down asap.

Im still very new to keeping ladies but mine were ex batts, but from my experience (in the last 2 months ) have been a pleasure to have & watch.

At first they were weary of everything & didnt eat their food etc

But they picked up normal chicken life very quickly & I do hope they are happy ladies now.

I ccouldnt give you any cons because Ive only had ex bats but they have been great for me x
