I have given quite a few half-dozen boxes away, mostly to family and neighbours, but it's quite hard to do - they all look so lovely sitting on my egg skelter! I keep saying I won't use any or give any away till it's full and I can take a picture of it, but those children of mine keep insisting on eating every day!

I like giving my eggs away, and friends seem to enjoy having them on a kind of barter system- one friend gave me some cake she'd made with them, I got some peas and bean plants from another, a cucumber from another...its very satisfying!

 

I like to give them away as thankyous for favours too, and of course to family and friends if we are visiting.

We're a long way off having any to give away (although Angelina laid our first egg today, v exciting!) but we plan to give ours away to family/friends/neighbours when the time comes.

 

We'll either take them as gifts when we go somewhere i.e. to see friends for lunch, or give them to neighbours (need to keep them sweet as they already do lots for us and will be hen sitting when we're away!), or I'll give them to my parents who live nearby.

 

So there won't be enough left over to sell I don't think!!
