4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Strange question I know but can hens lay two eggs in one sitting? Poppy laid her first egg yesterday and disappeared today for about 30 mins and when she came out we found two small eggs, each around half the size of yesterdays

 

Another hen did pop in but only for a couple of minutes, and when Poppy was still in there in the egg nesting area of the Eglu!!

 

Bit confused now as to what happened!!

 

Any advice, thoughts appreciated.

Odd things happen in theearly days of laying, so it is reasonably likely, especially if they looked the same.
