FruitandNutCake Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 What weeds do you feed your rabbits (and/or chickens!) ? My garden is organic, and I dig up all my weeds. Instead of pulling them as seedlings, I let them grow a little bigger but before they go to flower/seed so that I can feed them to the rabbits. Apart from the obvious dandelion, I also give them groundsel, chickweed, shepherds purse, hairy bittercress, dock and the non-spiny sowthistle. I haven't given them nettle and they don't touch the spiny sowthistle, but I have other weeds that I'm not sure whether they can eat. I think I have fat hen (Good King Henry?) in the garden but not sure how to tell apart good King Henry and Bad King Henry!!! I also have lots of yellow flowered plants that look like rape flowers, but the leaves look different. Will have to take some photos!
