Lulama
Hello I have 2 black rock hens and 2 light sussex hens sharing an omlet. It is definitely a case of blacks oppressing whites!! I was wondering if it is a bad idea to have different breeds sharing? The light sussex hens seem to be constantly broodly and can be found on the nest box for most of the day. Perhaps they are slightly depressed by the constant hen-pecking? I have tried shutting them out for the day but at any opportunity they zoom back to the nest box so I have no idea where the black rocks are laying their eggs (every time I find a nest, they change location)!! Can anyone advice, please.
