Olly
EEk - I sprayed the girls with foul-smelling Ukadex last night, to counteract the pecking problem. I made sure to spray their frilly knickers - or what's left of them - as this is where the pecking is taking place. This morning I opened up the egg-port, reeled back from the smell (must have been fun sleeping in there!) and then realised that the eggs smell of it, too! It doesn't help that I was in such a rush last night, I didn't collect yesterday's eggs, and one of the sprayed hens sleeps in the nesting-box. Will it taint the eggs, do you think? I've got a family 'do' this weekend, and promised to bring a dozen eggs with me!
