I have just ordered my eglu from omlet but need to buy chickens to put in it, as they do not deliver this far up north.

 

Can anyone recommend a good breeder in or near Northumberland,

Hello, welcome to the forum. Which part of Northumberland are you from? There are a few of us from up North!

 

Paula's Poultry in Jedburgh http://www.paulaspoultry.co.uk/ Paula may not have much choice at present but I think she was getting Ambers in in August. I got my Skylines from her.

 

Then there's Haydon bridge hens http://www.haydonbridgehens.co.uk/hen.html they usually have goldlines in stock.

 

http://www.meadowsweetpoultry.co.uk/agents.htm#Durham They had a huge choice of birds last month and they were very informative. I believe they were getting a huge delivery this month with lots of hybrids. I got my Ambers and Sussex from there.

Gavin is in Penrith, Cumbria. He has welsummers and barnvelders. A bit pricey but they are pure breeds.
