Baytril question??

Recommended Posts

I have posted a few times about Phoebe and her soft eggs - anyway she went to the vet yesterday after being really poorly with softies and stuck shells all weekend (ended up taking half a day off work to take her, to find her from deaths door one minute to bouncing around the garden eating weetabix :x ) Anyway took her along, she loved all the attention, even with a termometer up her bum :D and was told she had an oviduct infection, so she is on Baytril 2x daily for a week. Got it down her last night with 2 of us, however had to do it on my own at 6am this morning  not a pleasant task for me or Phoebe. Would it be ok to mix it in a tiny amount of her favourite soft food, ensuring she ate it all of course - it would make the next week a lot easier, does anybody know??

Omly had mine 3 weeks and had to do the same. the vet gave me this diidy stringe, I was really nrevous at first but soon got the ang of squirting straight in. At least you can be sure she gas had her dose. Others suggested putting it in a grape but mine had never had grapes then. they have now & learnt after a few days to gobble whole, so at least I have that option. A word of warning though. : :) My Phobe went from near death to being the biggest featheryst most beautiful, but flamin bully! think she now thinks she's a cock :? think might try baytrill & rymadil for my poor wee bullied girl! (only kidding.) oh she not called Phoebe now,, shes Meany, best pals with Greedy who are both horrid to Moe! flamin marmalous turnaroubd. Hope sher makes as good a recoverry!
