Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

One of my girls (Hermione) has taken to eating her eggs as soon as she lays them. I tried making a roll away nest box, but the blasted eggs keep getting stuck . Tried a rubber egg, but she doesn't bother with the other chooks eggs, just hers. Tried mustard, no good! I am at my wits end. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have used the rubber egg trick, but I wrap the egg in one of Pepper's egg shells that I managed to salvage. Like yours Pepper only eats her own eggs no one elses.

 

Sometimes it works, sometime it doesn't.

we had this problem for a while, do they have grit? She could be trying to get the shell so that she can make more shells, if that makes sense... We gave them free access to a load of grit and tried to get them out from underneath as soon as she had laid and it worked, hope you solve the problem,

yup, they have loads of grit. She produces eggs with nice hard shells, so I dont think thats the problem. She just seems to like the taste of whats inside problem is, so do we!!

 

I shall try your suggestion Lisa, see if that works.
