In a fit of enthusiasm (and seduced by novelty as I have never seen them on the vegetable counter before!) I bought some gherkins at the weekend. And now don't know what to do with them.

 

Does anyone have any ideas? Apart from pickling them? They are medium size, not small like cornichons, a bit like short courgettes.
