... just wondering. Not expecting any from mine until Spring, but my 14 week old Maran has suddenly gone really red around the face so just wondering... Is that way too young to be thinking about laying or do they start to go red quite a long way in advance?

Hi There,

 

My Blue Maran was supposed to be 16 weeks on 7th September but she laid an egg about 4 weeks later which would have made her 21 weeks at the most. I'm not sure whether she laid early or I was given a wrong age She was smaller than my other 2 though and they were 20 weeks when we got her!
