are these okay for food do you think?

these are sold as jars for bath salts and creams but do you think they would be okay to use for home made paté? I know the glass will be okay but it's the lid I was bit dubious about. Does aluminium that comes into contact with food have to be specially treated or anything?

I've had a think and because they are for pate (which isn't acidic) and there will be a layer of butter on top of the pate to sort of seal it in, I'm going to go for them. I could always cut a disc of greaseproof paper and pop that inside the lid to be on the safe side.
