How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

I am going to switch to organic fertilizer and weed controls this year. Have any of you collected your chicken poo strictly for grass fertilization? I already put the poo into the composter for the veg and flower beds. If any of you have tried this do, you spread it by hand or with a spreader? If you used a spreader how did you prepare the poo for this process (dry it? crush it?)? I can buy chicken poo pellets, but mine make plenty so it seems silly to spend the money. Any suggestions?

My near neighbour takes the odd bagful from my girls, steeps it in a huge vat of water and then when it has diluted nicely, he waters the grass with the resulting brew.

 

He comes back for more so it must be working.
