emmaw298
Can anyone help with this please. My colleague's cockerel has developed red sores on his feet which are spreading up his legs. There is nothing sore on the base of his foot, its on the top of his foot and on his legs. He has some cochin in him so has feathery feet and the problem looks to be worse around the feathers. The sores are not weeping but are red and sore and he is clearly feeling miserable as he has become aggressive, which is out of character for him. I haven't seen him but my colleague is quite convinced its not scaley leg mite as no sign of scales lifting off or scale discolouration. They have tried smothering with aqueous cream to rid any lice/mites and are now trying tea tree and an antibiotic spray. Can chickens get eczema?! Any other suggestions? Many thanks for any advice x
