I am waiting patiently (not really) for our first egg and I keep looking for the signs. I have read on the forum about eggy poos but don't know what they are supposed to look like. can anyone help?

 

I have also bought some sprouts and corn on the cob for the girls but don't know whether I should cook them first or give them to them raw.

 

Sorry for all the questions but loads to learn.

Hi Tortilla, welcome to the forum . Not sure I've heard of eggy poos . A more reliable sign is the combs/wattles getting bigger and redder and also crouching. Once they crouch an egg shouldn't be more than a few days away .

 

You can give sprouts and corn on the cob raw. You could cook them but there's no need!

Thank you for that. I won't cook if it's not necessary (I have trouble doing that for the family lol).

 

I'm afraid I'm getting really impatient for the eggs, I just cannot wait!!! One of them is crouching and I really have no idea how big or red is normal for their combs/wattles. One or two look slightly larger and redder than the others but are they ready yet??? I guess I'm going to have to learn patience after all!
