Hello my 2 ex batt girls Belinda and Gertrude are getting to know each other and have sorted out the pecking order although Gertrude is a bit of a "bossy boots". Gertrude has started pecking Belindas beak and although she doesent seem to mind , I am concerned that this is bullying. I cant believe I worry so much about 2 little eating/pooing machines who are not laying yet. Oh the joys of hen keeping

Sometimes if one hen has poor table manners and has food all over her beak, another will helpfully clean it off .

 

If it doesn't look aggressive, this may be all it is .
