4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

one of the two hens I got from omlet, Olive, has finally laid an egg after 12 weeks (still waiting for rubys' contribution. , but she also has very very runny poo, i presume that this is

to do with possibly a high temperature, hormones etc.

has anyone else experienced this with their hens?

i'm not too worried yet, but thought i would ask.

One of my Polish bantams finally laid her first egg yesterday, a tiny little white thing, not much bigger than a pigeons egg! She has had looser poos than normal for a few days too. Think it must be normal.

As long as she looks OK and is doing all the normal chicken things, probably not too much to worry about yet. I'd stick to layer pellets only for the next few days (i.e. no treats), as that will help her system settle into its new routine. Some find that a little pro-biotic yoghurt with some Bokashi bran mixed in can firm up runny poo (works for my Fifi).

thanks, i'll cut down on extras. i'll also try the pro biotic yogurt. i have started to put bokashi

in with their pellets already.
