I recently posted something about my chickens balding bum, as yet I haven't received a reply but I now think I know the culprit. Trudie is pulling out Forence's feathers. Do I need to put a bumper bit on her there is no blood or puncture wounds just no feathers. I have started working full time recently and they have been in their run more could this of caused it ? Any advice would be much appreciated.

You could try one of the many anti pecking sprays on the market.

 

Ukadex is the most powerful. It smells absolutely vile, but is effective in most cases.

 

A bumper bit will certainly hep. You can get them from the Wernlas Collection in exchange for a couple of stamps. Give them a ring.

 

maybe a distraction to peck at in the run, such ad a cabbage or a peckablock may help too.

johnsons do a very good anti peck spray. You can get it from most pet shops, try that!
