likeastar--x Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Looks like sour crop but im not sure. Saffron has a near empty crop, and I just saw her throw up an egg white type substance. The Dogmother Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Chickens can't 'throw up' as we know it because they don't have a gag reflex, they often empty stuff they don't like out of their mouths though. likeastar--x Posted February 21, 2009 Author Share Posted February 21, 2009 Oh right, I didnt know that. It looked like she was and another of my chooks did it before. Basically just turned her head to the floor and loads of stuff came spilling out, so I assumed she was being sick. Shes still eating and drinking happily, and is quite perky, and her crop seems to be emptying, so I think ill just give her some bio yoghurt and keep an eye on her.
