redsky
I have a coop which is currently on my lawn - well.... it was a lawn. I intend to move it onto a paved area and use wood shavings as a flooring for the run. The question is - Do I need to change the shavings daily, or does anybody have tips on cleaning up the poo?? Cinnamon
I would seriously use AUBIOSE or an equivilant instaed of wood shavings. The best thig to do is to make a little are, & surround it in brick or that log roll stuff, then when you need to clean it, evict th hens for a free range, remove the run, sweep out, hose down, chuck down some Stalosan, re aubiose & there you go. Egluntyne
I would also put a cover such as a clear shower curtain over the run to prevent the Aubiose or equivalent becoming waterlogged if it rains.
