BarbaraJ
There are still scuffles but only feather tugging, no feathers out and no blood BUT the new girls have taken to going back into the cube. This morning i went out and shut the older 2 in one side of the run and the new girls were eating and drinking and seemed fine though kept to their own area at the weekend. I have found them in cbe twice today, just been out thrown some corn down and got them out and shut the door. My thinking was if they hide in there it will take longer to get used to one another but should i have left them in the cube?
Cooks
I leave the cube open myself, if they want to go in they can as my thinking is that they may need some time out and want to get away.
BarbaraJ
i have just been out but all was fine, i will go out in half an hour and open it ready for bed. I'll leave it open tomorrow but didn't want them getting in the habit of staying in there! the run is plenty big enough for them to get away from the others who are moulting like mad at the moment
Cooks
I chuck loads of stuff for the older girls to entertain themselves with, especially the treat ball which they spend ages at!, that distracts them from the new girls.
BarbaraJ
i'll have to try the treat ball tomorrow (they ignored it last time lol), they have 2 bunches of greens and a huge seed ball in there at the moment.
