missuscluck
Just thought I would post this as lots of us are Jamie Oliver fans. I went last night to the Cheshire launch of the new Jamie Oliver at home partys. He has called this range of products Jme and the products lauch next week. Im not a big party plan fan but being as im fond of Mr O, I thought I would go along and take a look, so a few friends and I went along. The party's format includes a DVD presentation by Mr O showcasing him doing a few simple recipes using his things he would like you to buy from his range. I thought this worked quite well. WARNING! The products are expensive!! The hostess stated that 60% of the stock was under £25.00 but realisticly that would buy you a bowl or a cup which would be better as part of a set. True, the stuff is lovley. Lots of turned wood and terracotta bowls and oak chopping boards. My favourite over expensive item was a box of about 15 tiny plant pots, marketed as being weathered, with a rack to put them on for £75.00 :shock:I have some of these in my garden for free. Perhaps I should sell them I was dissapointed there was very little cookware. It was mostly tableware. The range of products was a bit limited. All in all, Im not as exited with it as I thought I might be
Saronne
Thank you for the information. It's good to have word of mouth recommendations...or, in your case, not so recommended! It's all too easy to go to these events and feel the pressure to buy. Saronne x
