Just before christmas our light sussex was regularly laying eggs, the first girl to do so, however due to what we think was the colder weather she stopped.

 

Over the past few weeks we have noticed a blding patch which appears to be getting bigger around her rear end. She shows no signs of ill health, feeds ok but has not layed for a while.

 

can anyone please give us some advice

Have you checked her for lice?

 

Could she be laying a secret stash of eggs in the garden?

what would we look for in the case of mites and what would be the best mite powder to use. Also if its mites how come that none of the others do not have any similar syptoms?

 

She is definetly not laying
