girlsmum
I`m going away over Easter to visit my parents. I have only had my chickens for 1 month so havent left them yet. I will be going away on Saturday and coming back on Monday. Should i get someone to look after them or would they be ok ,for this amount of time ,on their own Girlsmum
Snowy
As long as their run is very secure, they should be OK. Just make sure they have plenty of food and water
sophiex
hiya! just wanted to say that another option could be to have someone come in a thew times a day and night just to make sure they are ok if you are worried. i am sure that someone would be kind enough to help you out like a neighbour. good luck and enjoy your holiday!x
Olly
They'll be fine for two nights, just make sure they have plenty of food and water - if hot weather is forecast or if you're worried, then you can always put an extra water container (like an old ice-cream tub, for example) in the run. Any longer than that, and you would want someone to pop in and check on them and collect the eggs, but I have left mine for this length of time without any problem. You might want to consider hanging a cabbage in the run, or something like that, as it will keep them busy for the first day or so (or maybe only the first few hours, if my girls are anything to go by!) Enjoy your holiday.
